About Critic Aid Clear Skin Protectant & Diaper Rash Cream

Diaper Rash Cream

Critic-Aid Clear is a diaper rash cream made by Coloplast with dimethicone and zinc oxide. It is more than just a diaper rash cream; it is a skin protectant and moisture barrier ointment that adheres to denuded skin. Denuded skin is skin that has been damaged with loss of some or all of the outer later (epidermis). This could be caused by exposure to urine, feces, wound drainage, friction, or other bodily fluids. Critic-Aid Clear diaper rash cream works on minor to the most severe diaper rashes and denuded skin due to incontinence. (Involuntary urination or defecation).

Why we like Critic-Aid Diaper Rash Cream

Critic Aid Clear Skin Protectant

When our son was preparing for his bone marrow transplant he was on regular treatments of chemotherapy for an extended amount of time. Chemotherapy can cause diarrhea and severe break down of the skin in the diaper region. During that time his bottom became severely raw and looked extremely uncomfortable and painful. The hospital supplies butt paste and triple paste creams for diaper rash, but I can tell you from experience that these did not do the job sufficiently. When we consulted the doctors they sent a couple “Wound Specialists” to examine our son and they suggested Critic-Aid Clear. We immediately started use after every single diaper. It was amazing how fast the wound cleared and we were so thankful that a product like this existed. We just put a thick layer right over the wound and it created a moisture barrier between his skin and bodily fluids.
